Gerald Takawira | ||||||||||
Gerald was born in Nyanga in 1964. As he is the son of John Takawira, one of the most famous of Zimbabwe's first generation sculptors, Gerald started assisting with the tedious work of sandpapering sculptures at the age of 13. In 1985 he began sculpting full time. Since then he has been working with his brother Simon at their farm in Harare South. Nicholas Kadzungura Nicholas was born in 1967 in Mashonaland central province. He is a dedicated and committed artist who is constantly working and pushing himself to experiment and innovate. To date, his work has been included in a number of local exhibitions. Internationally, his work has been exhibited in Europe and Singapore. With his committment and ability, Nicholas is a young sculptor with a bright future. Boniface Mashave Boniface was born in Chiweshe in 1956 and began sculpting in 1978. He uses the stones of Zimbabwe to great advantage by producing semi-abstract sculptures that are beautifully finished. His work has been exhibited in the UK, Germany, Australia, Spain, South Africa, Singapore, and the United States. | ||||||||||
